Join Nikita from New Dreaming Art as we explore Indigenous Art techniques.

 A very special morning guided by Nikita Newley from New Dreaming Art.

Nikita teaches a knowledge of symbolism through Aboriginal Art and storytelling.  

Nikita is a second generation self taught indigenous artist, a proud Wuthathi ~Darumbal Woman.  Nikita's connection to culture is powerful and respectful, bringing stories to life with bright colours and a different perspective from her indigenous backgrounds.  Sharing history and keeping community connected to culture is one of Nikita's passions and through this tool allows healing for herself and her students.

 

Students will come away with: 

❋ a basic knowledge of Aboriginal symbols

❋ Storytelling through art 

❋ And use of cultural art techniques 

 

This will be a powerful and highly educational event and we would love to share this experience with you all! 

 

This is a homeschooling event open to children 5 years and up.

(younger siblings are of course welcome to attend at no cost, we have a small play nook set up to keep them busy)   

We have a toilet on site and easily accessible car parking.
